Local Growth, Local Strength
We aren’t just in your community, we are your community – our team at Northwest Community Credit Union helps our neighbors thrive by providing time and resources to local programs and organizations that make a difference in the lives of our members and our communities.
We believe what truly makes us uncommon is that we are so much a part of the communities we serve. We are the teachers seeking creative ways to improve the learning experience for our children; the dedicated workers and volunteers working to serve our neighbors in need; the public servants who protect us; the leaders charting a course for our communities’ future.
Northwest Community Credit Union is proud to provide scholarships to local students. We’ve been helping new and continuing students attain an education for over a decade now.
Financial Reality Fairs
We are committed to increasing financial literacy in the communities we serve. If you are an educator and would like to learn more about NWCU hosting a Financial Reality Fair at your school, please contact our Community Relations Coordinator.
NWCU’s annual Project Community awards is a mini-grant program designed to help educate youth in the communities we serve. NWCU will select and fund, staff, or partner to fulfill support for projects or needs submitted by schools or non-profit organizations dedicated to educating kids.
Submit a Donation Request
We accept requests from non-profit organizations in the counties we serve. Please submit your request at least 60 days in advance.
Our Efforts, Focused
We would love to support all the deserving organizations in the communities we serve, but due to the number of requests we receive, not all requests can be funded. We have focused our efforts specifically on:
Youth: Sound communities begin with a priority on youth education and development. Supporting partners and opportunities focused in pre-K – 12th grade education with an emphasis on high quality learning experiences for youth and financial literacy.
Community Sustainability: Sustainable communities provide support for those administering assistance. Our community partners respond to many specific needs, including homelessness, direct disaster aid, social services, and programs assisting first responders helping those in need or crisis.
NWCU does not generally provide support for:
- Organizations, programs or events outside the counties we serve
- Donations to individuals or pledges for individual fundraising
- Religious groups for religious purposes
- Political or legislative activities
- School graduation events
- Golf tournaments
