TrackTown USA and The Prefontaine Classic Partner with Northwest Community Credit Union to Connect Local Youth to Track & Field

EUGENE, Ore. – TrackTown USA is delighted to partner with Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCU) for the 2024 Prefontaine Classic and overall track and field season. Northwest Community Credit Union's dedication toward supporting families in the Pacific Northwest will be on display with its presenting partnership of the TrackTown USA Kids Club.

Membership to the TrackTown USA Kids Club is FREE and available to kids 8th grade and under. Perks of membership include FREE admission to TrackTown USA hosted events and opportunities to interact with track and field athletes. New members can register for the TrackTown USA Kids Club, presented by Northwest Community Credit Union, at www.tracktownusakidsclub.com.

NWCU’s partnership will also help bring student-athletes from Steve Prefontaine’s hometown to the globally renowned track and field meet that honors him. During his junior and senior years at Marshfield High School, ‘Pre’ went undefeated in all his cross country and track races. Thanks to NWCU, student-athletes from schools in Coos County will have the opportunity to travel to Eugene and watch The Prefontaine Classic.

Like The Prefontaine Classic, Northwest Community Credit Union is rooted in the Pacific Northwest with 15 locations throughout Oregon. In 2023, NWCU merged with TwinStar Credit Union to create one of the region’s largest credit unions with a combined 252,000 members and 36 locations in Washington and Oregon.
