Northwest Secure checking adds identity theft detection and recovery benefits for a lower monthly fee.
Why did we change to Northwest Secure checking?
Members told us that protection of their personal information and monitoring data breach notifications are important to them.
Northwest Secure has several features to protect more than your money:
- Proactive monitoring services that can prevent ID theft and hacking. A free annual credit report, monthly access to your credit score, and dark web monitoring can help.
- Identity theft recovery services. This includes recovery for all types of ID theft, and reimbursement insurance.
- Mobile device protection. Get cash for replacement or repair of your cell phone.
Northwest Secure checking offers all of these benefits for a low monthly fee of $4.00. It also checking gives you the chance to earn up to 0.30% APY* interest every month with:
- Active enrollment in eBanking
- Active enrollment in eStatements
- One (1) direct deposit or ACH deposit
- Five (5) settled debit card transactions
What’s Your Next Step?
On October 31, 2018, the Great Northwest checking account automatically upgraded to Northwest Secure checking. You didn’t need to do anything for your checking account to upgrade. But you will need to register online with nxg|PROTECT to access extra checking benefits like mobile device protection and identity theft monitoring.
