NWCU Phone Banking Service Update – Effective March 3, 2025
Starting March 3, 2025, NWCU is replacing its Touch Tone Teller service with a new Interactive Voice Response phone banking service called Credit Union Connection. This new service offers voice command and dial pad options to make banking easier and more convenient. Below is everything you need to know about the change and how to use the new telephone banking service.
Key Dates
- February 28, 2025: The current Touch Tone Teller service will be discontinued.
- March 3, 2025: The new Credit Union Connection service begins.
- The existing Touch Tone Teller phone number will forward to Credit Union Connection.
- NWCU members can start registering for the new service.
IMPORTANT – Registrations and PINs from the Touch Tone Teller service will not be transferred to the new Credit Union Connection service. All first-time NWCU users will need to register their account and create a PIN to access banking functions.
What can you do with Credit Union Connection Phone Banking?
- Verify up-to-date savings, checking, and loan balances.
- Transfer funds between checking, savings, and loans.
- Get information on membership, accounts, payments, and loans.
- Get general info on hours, locations, and more.
- Dial pad accessibility to account functions.
- Manage your phone banking PIN
How to Access Credit Union Connection
Call one of these numbers:
- 800-452-9515 (Option 1)
- 800-533-9792 Direct Credit Union Connection access
- 360-754-8228 (for Alaska, Hawaii, and international members)
You can use voice commands or the dial pad to access banking functions.
General information (ex: hours, routing number, membership details, etc.) is only available through voice commands.
Registering for Credit Union Connection
To use banking functions, you’ll need to register your account and create a PIN.
Registration is done through voice commands:
- During the initial greeting, say the function you want performed (e.g., “Check balance” or “Make a payment”).
- The system will prompt: “To do that, I’ll need you to log in. To create your first PIN or change an existing PIN, press 1 now.”
- Press 1 to start the authentication process.
- Once authenticated, you will be prompted to create your PIN.
After registering, you can use voice commands or press 1 during the greeting to activate the dial pad menu to access banking functions.
Using the Dial Pad for Banking Functions
Once registered, you can use the dial pad to:
- Check balances and recent transactions.
- Transfer funds between accounts.
- Make loan or Visa credit card payments.
To access the dial pad menu:
- Press 1 during the initial greeting.
- Complete the authentication process.
- Follow the dial pad menu options to complete your transaction.
