Northwest Community Credit Union partners with LCC BizCenter
EUGENE, Ore. - Northwest Community Credit Union has collaborated with the Center
for Hi-Tech Innovation at the Lane Community College Business Development Center
(BDC). The credit union will be providing micro grants up to $700 to recipients
selected by BDC.
A person or business wanting to create and launch new products will use the grants.
The funds may also go toward securing a patent through an attorney for a product,
or creating a proto-type product.
"This program is a way to support individuals and businesses that bring new technologies
and innovations to the community," said NWCU Commercial Services Officer, Stacey
Lewey. "Northwest Community Credit Union is excited to help these businesses and
individuals with grant funds that otherwise would not be able to take their innovation
to the next level."
NWCU is working directly with Lane, however, the funds are not limited to the college’s
advising and educational programs. The initial screening will be done by LCC and
then recipients will be referred to Northwest Community Credit Union. Jon Broome
developed the program at Lane. For more information contact the Center for High
Tech Innovation at (541) 463-5255 or visit www.lanebdc.com
