Northwest Community On-line help - Find answers fast
Question: Can I get protection for my loan?
Answer: Very likely. If your loan qualifies, we offer several programs that
you might want to consider.
All primary credit union members receive a modest amount of
life insurance coverage—free of charge—in the event of accidental death or
dismemberment; however, you can purchase additional life insurance for you or your
dependent family members with coverage up to $250,000.

We have other payment protection options that help provide peace of mind for life's
"what if" situations—this is especially important if you wonder how your spouse or
family would manage debts if something should ever happen to you.
Northwest Community offers Northwest Protect™* which is a voluntary debt
cancellation product that, depending on the package selected, can cancel your
eligible monthly loan payment, up to the agreement maximum, if you're involuntarily
unemployed or if a protected illness or injury leaves you unable to work. It can
also cancel your eligible monthly home equity loan payment or cancel your eligible
consumer or credit card loan balance (for your dependent's benefit) after an untimely
demise. Request more information.
Another coverage that helps reduce worry is Mechanical Breakdown coverage (so
catastrophic repairs don't leave you making payments on a parked car). And finally,
Guaranteed Auto Protection means you won't have to pay off the difference between what
is owed and what your car is worth should your automobile be "totaled" by an insurance
adjustor. Request more information.
*This is a summary of our Payment
Protection program. Enrollment in the program is voluntary and not required to obtain
a loan. Northwest Protect™ is a debt cancellation product available through Northwest
Community Credit Union. Please contact your loan representative, or refer to the
Northwest Protect Contract for additional information on benefit maximums,
eligibility, and limitations.
