Question: Does bankruptcy affect my chance for a loan?
Answer: Possibly. It is harder to get a loan for unsecured debts (Visa
cards, lines-of-credit, et cetera), but it may be possible to get a loan for a
secured debt, such as a car, as quickly as six months after a bankruptcy is
discharged.
Then again, a bankruptcy can affect your credit for up to ten years after you've
filed. It's best to talk with one of our service
specialists about your individual situation. We may be able to help you start
to rebuilding your credit history today.
