NWCU's routing (or ABA) number is 323-276-524
You can find this routing number in the lower left corner of your NWCU checks and deposit slips.
Setting up direct deposits to your NWCU account
Does your paycheck or benefits check sit unguarded in your mailbox? It's much easier--and safer--to have your deposits sent directly to your Northwest Community accounts. Whether it's a tax refund, pension payment, or social security check, we want to save you a trip to the branch. Contact your Social Security or benefits administrator, and ask about Electronic Funds Transfer.
Many companies and organizations offer direct deposit as a way to receive your pay or benefits check. If you're interested in this option, you may want to check with your
employer or other source of income to see if this option is available. You will likely need to fill out a form which will ask you for your account number and your routing
or ABA) number (323-276-524). You might want to look at our generic Direct Deposit Request Form to get an idea of what information may be required.
You may also read our direct deposit option page for more information about having your paycheck electronically deposited.
Setting up automatic payments from your NWCU account
Automatic Payments (also known as Automatic Clearing House [ACH]) allows for bills to be automatically paid from your Northwest Community accounts (even from savings).
It works best with payments that are written for the same amount every month. Examples of ACH payments may include health club dues, insurance premiums, Internet service, or mortgage payments.
If you talk to a company about setting up ACH, you'll need the routing number (323-276-524). You'll also need your account number.
ACH is a great way to make sure your bills are paid on time. Pick the date and a recurring amount, and you won't have to pay for stamps or worry about a check getting lost in the mail.
Using another financial institution’s ACH or Bill Pay to make payments to a NWCU account
You can use an account at another financial institution to make payments to loans that
you have at Northwest Community. When setting up your automatic payment at your other
financial institution, you will need to enter our routing number (323-276-524). It is
also advisable to include the account number of the NWCU loan or account number of the deposit
in the description field so that we immediately know which loan or
account the payment is to be applied to.
